Cheddar

Sharp cheddar is our signature cheese produced in the "640 square barrel" at the Weyauwega facility. We worked closely with Kraft Foods to pioneer this unique way to hold and store natural cheese for cutting. Our finely aged cheddar cheese has a distinct, premium-quality taste and texture making it a natural selection of our wholesale customers, retail store customers, and judges in prestigious cheese competitions. Our cheddar is available in a variety of sizes and packaging in the retail market. We also produce extra sharp cheddar and marbled cheddar at the Weyauwega facility. Extra sharp cheddar has seen a growth in demand within the past several years. The marbled cheddar rounds out the selection of our cheddar cheese, which is some of the finest in the marketplace.

Feta

The Weyauwega facility entered the specialty cheese market in 1986 with our state of the art production of feta cheese. Our feta cheese production continues to expand with exciting new flavor offerings including basil and tomato feta, reduced-fat feta, garlic and herb feta and peppercorn feta. We sell all varieties of our feta cheese in pails in a variety of sizes as well as dry packs. Our feta cheese is for sale in the retail market primarily under the Churny Company's brand name, Athenos.
In 2005 our Feta was named U.S. Champion Feta at the U.S. Championship Cheese Contest. We are proud to offer our selection of feta cheese in our retail stores.

Mozzarella

Mozzarella one of the cheeses produced at our Luxemburg facility. The creamy flavor of mozzarella perfectly compliments a variety of food dishes including appetizers, pizza and numerous Italian favorites. Primary distribution of our award-winning mozzarella is on the East coast in addition to some Midwestern states. The craftsmanship of our mozzarella cheese has led to it be named World Champion Mozzarella in three of the last four World Championship Cheese Contests - 1998, 2002 and 2004. Our low moisture part skim mozzarella was named U.S. Champion Mozzarella in Part Skim in the 2007 U.S. Championship Cheese Contest. We sell our mozzarella in 8-6 lb. or 2-6 lb. packages under the Krohn Dairy brand in addition to private labels.

Mozzarella Sticks and Natural Curd

Our Little Chute facility produces natural curd and mozzarella sticks. This favorite appetizer has a strong demand within the battered and breaded industry. The sticks are versatile in both product size and functionality. We produce a variety of products for a wide range of applications within the appetizer industry. We also produce natural cheese curds for the appetizer industry at our Little Chute facility. These products are the perfect start to any dining experience or enjoyed by themselves as snacks. You will find these items in the frozen section of your grocery store and as menu options at many restaurants.

Provolone

We produce the Trega Provolone cheese at our Luxemburg facility. This authentic, Italian-style cheese has a fuller bodied taste with a slight snap that works great for slicing or perfectly compliments the other ingredients in Italian food dishes. We offer the development of custom flavor profiles for our customers. We carefully produce our salami-style provolone in 6lb. or 12 lb. salamis packages. In 2007, our provolone was named U.S. Champion Provolone at the U.S. Championship Cheese Contest. We are proud to offer our provolone as one of the Masters Reserve cheeses sold in our retail stores.
